George Blanchard
- Born: 1852, Legsby, Lincolnshire
- Marriage (1): Charlotte Roberts Q2 1874 in Caistor, Lincs.
Notes:
1861 Census; incorrectly indexed on ancestry as Blarsham, but definately Blanchard. Living (aged 9) with parents and siblings in Lissington, Lincs.
1871 Census; presumably he is; age 19; living as agricultural servant at farm in Canby belonging to Thomas Trafford. Gives PoB as Lissington, but that's were he lived as child and only about 2 miles from Legsby.
1881 Census; (didnt' find till had found '91 and his wifes name as his age here looks wrong) living, aged 39 (??, presumably should be ~29) with wife and children at North Mole(prbly Moor given spelling of Bleasby Moor) Road, Tealby, Lincs. Occupation; Farm Labourer. Gives PoB as Bleasby More.
1891 English Census; few possibles, no obvious match. Apart from same person as above. There is ; A 36 (??) yo George Blanchard living in Middle Rasen, born in Linwood married with wife and children. He is a something something Manufacturer. Others born in Louth etc., but no nice exact match. A 38 yo George living in Walcot, Lincs with wife and children. Ag Lab. But gives PoB as Cleasby Moor, Lancs..... ah BUT there IS a Bleasby Moor between Linwood and Legsby, let's try and find him in '01.......yes in '01 same person says Bleasby Moor, Lincs, so; 1891 Census; living, aged 38, in Walcot, Lincs with wife and children. Occupation; Ag Lab.
1901 Census; living, aged 49 at Morley St., Kettering, Northants with wife and ten children. Occupation; Farm Labourer.
George married Charlotte Roberts Q2 1874 in Caistor, Lincs. (Charlotte Roberts was born in 1856 in Sleaford, Lincs.)
