1871 Census; (indexed as Coburn on ancestry) living, aged 21, with mother-in-law, brother-in-law, nephew and wife at Watermill Houses, Welton, Lincs. Occupation; Ag Lab. NB; 2 houses away is a John Cabourn,32. Nephew is Holdsworth family not Caborn.
1881 Census (indexed as Cubowm on ancestry) living, aged, 31, at Welton, Lincs with wife and 2 daughters. Occupation; Bricklayer (then says something in brackets afterwards).
1891 Census; Wife is still married , he must have been away on census night.... ah ;he is James Cobourn and PoB shown as Stainter. Is living as lodger at South Kyme, Lincs. Occupation; Bricklayer and Labourer.
1901 Census; (indexed as Coven on ancestry) is widower living at St Martins, Lincoln, Lincs with son George. Occupation; Bricklayer.
James married Hannah Holdsworth, daughter of George Holdsworth and Deborah Brand, on 25 Dec 1890 in Welton, Lincolnshire. (Hannah Holdsworth was born on 6 May 1850 in Welton, Lincs. and died Q3 1900.)
