This address next to Waterloo Buildings - Grant connection. ALSO next door but one is a George and Annie Grant his Uncle), His Uncle (widower age 61) is a cabinet maker employing 2 men and 1 boy, and was born in Pocklington, so COULD be related to Thomas Grant.

1891 Census; living (age 32) as boarder in house of Annie Kelsey at George St, Pocklington. Occupation; Builders Clerk.

1901 Census; living (age 42) as boarder in house of Annie Kelsey at George St, Pocklington. Occupation; Builders Manager.

Got married in Q1 1909 in Pocklington, to his cousin. She would be 43 by then, so probably no issue.

In David Neave's book there is reference to Thomas Grant continuing to operate Victoria Hall until the mid 1920's presumably that means Thomas Cliffe Grant, as Thomas Grant died in 1907 (which Neave acknowledges).

Joint gravestone in Pocklington Cemetry for Thomas Cliffe Grant, Edith Mary Walford Grant and Mary Ann Grant (Edith's sister, not mother). No dates on it. In same cemetry is gravestone of Thomas Grant and Mary Anne Grant. Have pictures of both.
