"Of Arkholme" (which is in Lancs, 1/2 way between Carnforth and Burton in Lonsdale).

Got info from finding Francis' original baptism in the N.Yorks CRO and this led me to Ann's fathers name. Specificially it said; "Francis Stephenson, son of Thomas Moorby of Settle son of Robert Moorby of Rathmell, by Ann his wife, daughter of William Stephenson of Arkholme".

In the 1841 census there is a family of Stephenson's living at Arkholme, specifically Redload Farm, head is Christopher, 30, who is farmer ..... BUT they not born in Lancs! .... then again in 1851 there is a Barnet Stephenson, age 70 (so b~1781), born in Arkholme, and living with family at High Theaber(?, next to Holden House), Burton in Lonsdale, who is farmer of 60 acres .... two of the children are born in BENTHAM ! He COULD be Ann's brother as her son born in 1795. This is presumably the Barnard Stephenson who was christened in Melling (ie Arkholme) in ab 1784 in familysearch - but does not give his parents. There is also a John Stephenson, 71, born in Arkholme who is living with wife in Blackburn., can't read profession but looks like Carder, this person not on familysearch.
