1841 Census; best match (age and location and children) from several possibles is; Thomas Blanchard (48, Ag Lab), Elizabeth (48), Joseph (10), Addam (8) and Charles (5) living in Linwood.

1851 Census; Can't find. There is a Charles of correct age living with his gran. But Gran called Ann and PoB is Caistor.

1861 Census; Living, aged 25, as servant at house of Wm Stamp in Welton, Lincs. Occupation; Ag Lab. His brother Charles is also here. And there is a Wm Blanchard (9 born in Faldingham) who is nephew to Stamp. Stamp is Elizabeth Seaton's brother-in-law.

1871 Census; Living as head, aged 34, at Stainton, Lincs (close to the Vicarage) with wife and 3 children. Occupation; Shepherd.

1881 Census; Living as head, aged 45, at Stainton, Lincs with wife, 2 children and a niece (Lily Rabb<something>, 7mo born in Middlesex). Occupation; Ag Lab.

1891 Census; Living as head, aged 55, at Stainton, Lincs with wife, dau and a granddau (Sarah J Blanchard, 1, born Westaby(?), Lincs). Occupation; Ag Lab.

1901 Census; Widower, living as head, aged 64, at Railway Houses, Stainton, Lincs with dau Annie and a visitor (Doris Smith, 3). Occupation; Ag Lab.

Charles married Sarah Moody, daughter of George Moody and Emma, on 24 Apr 1861 in Dunholme Parish Church, Lincs. (Sarah Moody was born in 1833 in Dunholme, Lincs.)

Charles next married Jane Beaumont on 16 Nov 1864 in Clasketgate, Lincoln, Lincs. (Jane Beaumont was born ~ 13 Jul 1841 in Tealby, Lincs. and died before 1901.)
