Info from David Bee research, which led me to;

1861 Census; Living, aged 4 , at house of widowed mother at 'Cottage', Faldingworth, Lincs with 4 siblings and 5 lodgers (4 of whom are Ag Labs).

1871 Census; Living, aged 14, at house of Uncle William Stainup(?) and Aunt Ann with numerous others. Occupation; Farm Servant. Sister Mary and brother William also working there.
