Info from David Bee research, which led me to;
1861 Census; Living, aged 11 months, at house of widowed mother at 'Cottage', Faldingworth, Lincs with 3 siblings and 5 lodgers (4 of whom are Ag Labs).
1871 Census; Living, aged 10, at Faldingworth, Lincs with mother, brother, grandmother (Simons) and a lodger. Scholar.
1881 Census; Living, aged 20 at Powells Cottages, St Michaels Parish, Lincoln with mother. Occupation; Laundress.
According to Sheila Blanchard (Lincs FHS article) she was illegitimate and born after father died (although wife could have been pregnant at his death?).
