From Ann G-P research.
Can't track them down at all, apart from wedding. Can't find sons. Suspect lived abroad, presumably in Australia due to son.
From Wendy; Medical Times and Gazette October 1871 - Prichard Bateman On October 14 1871 at the New Church College Chapel, Devonshire Street. Edward Ellison Prichard son of Henry Prichard Esq of Stanley Gardens Kensington Park to Helen Maria daughter of Henry Bateman FRCS of Compton Terrace Highbury
Wendy found; The London Standard Friday 14 July 1882 Deaths: Prichard - June 16 accidentally drowned, while bathing, at Sea Point, Cape Town, Edward Ellison Prichard, late P.W.D., Cape Colony, third surviving son of the late Henry Prichard Esq of 14 Stanley Gardens W. aged 34 But this doesn't match later sightings !??! Stanley Gardens is correct though. Odd.

Wendy; 1911 Census; Living at Maseree(?), Tennyson Road, Bognor along with a housekeeper and a caretaker. Says is married but still no sign of Helen Maria !
From Helen's book ""...... my husband is a civil engineer in the Government service, and that his appointment (at that time) was that of Inspector of Roads for the Transkei - a large district about a hundred miles in length ..... At the time my husband entered upon his duties, this Transkei district was in a most unsettled state; and as he was engaged in boundary work between hostile tribes, Government thought it expedient to provide him with an escort of mounted police"
