1861 Census; Living, age 12, at Buslingthorpe, Lincs with parents and 4 siblings. Name is indexed as 'Wellie' (!) but think is prbly Wm.

1871 Census; Probably he is William Blanchard, living alone as head, age 22, at Holly House, Keighley, Yorks. Occupation; Coachman - Domestic Servant (prbly for Wm Butterfield who lives at Cliffe House and is Merchant and Landowner). Puts PoB as Buslingthorpe, Lincs, rather than Linwood, but that's where we was brought up and where nearest sister in age was born, so probly thought he was born there too.

1881 Census; Is living as head, aged 32, at Hungerhill, Northowram, Queensbury, Yorks with wife and dau. Occupation; Coachman. PoB Linwood.

1891 Census; Is living as head, aged 42, at Wythers Lodge, Wythers La., Bramley, Leeds with wife and 5 children. Occupation; Coachmans Domestic Servant (presum. to Ephraim Padgett 'Woolen Cloth Manuf' who lives at Wythers next door). Puts Pob as 'Lynwoode' !

1901 Census; Living as head, aged 41 (??!) at Elmleigh Cottage, Ilkley, Yorks with wife (who's age also out by 10 years) and 3 children and a boarder. Occupation; Coachman Domestic, presumably to John Thomas Jackson (Timber Merchant) who lives at Elmleigh.

William married Margaret. (Margaret was born in 1850 in Drax, Yorkshire.)
