Info from Giggleswick Parish Register Transcripts by the Yorks Arch Society 1669-1769, supplied by Ian Thompson Moorby.

He is the first mention of Moorby in the Giggleswick Parish registers. Presumably he was born elsewhere, although if born before 1669 (ie older than 23 at the time of his marriage) then transcripts above would not have his bapt. as 'only' starts 1669. Might be an idea to look at the wedding entry to see if any more detail.

Alternatively (IGI) he could be the Thomas Moorby bapt in Skipton on 14 Oct 1655, father Thomas Moorby.

1692 Richardus bapt = Paleygreen
1694, 1698, 1701 Johanes(John), Juditha and Joshua's bapt = Wham
1703 Thomas' bapt = Wham (pauper)
1706 Gulielmus bapt = Cunigarth
1706 death = Cunigarth.

I'm assuming the 1706 death is him and not his son. However there is a Robert, son of Thomas Moreby bapt in 1714. This could Thomas senior's grandson, but this is only 13 years after Thomas junior was born. Also Thomas junior is presumably the person marrying Ellin Heigh in 1728, although could have married twice.

Surname variously spelt as; Moorbie, Mooreby, Moorebie, Moorebi.

Thomas# married Jane# Newhouse in 1692 in Giggleswick Parish.
