Profession at time of his daughters wedding in 1867 was Solicitor.
This is backed up by Memorial tablet at Lewin's Mead Unitary Chapel, Bristol.
Also Matthew's Directory lists his offices and residence at 17 Small St in 1820 and 1824.
This was his office only in 1827, 1828 and 1829 - in these years his residence is listed as Harley Cottage, Clifton. Residence listed as 14 Horfield Road in 1830 and 3 Cotham Place in 1833 and 1835. By 1833 he seems to have taken a partner and is listed as Estlin & Ball, Attornies at 1 St.Stephen's St in 1829 and 23 Broad St in 1833.
Alfred married Letitia Maria Senior, daughter of James Gale# Senior and Letitia# Martin, on 18 Mar 1825 in Tewkesbury, Glos. (Letitia Maria Senior was born on 15 Oct 1789 in St Elizabeth, Jamaica, christened on 15 Oct 1789 in St Elizabeth, Jamaica and died on 12 Jan 1864 in Clifton, Bristol.)
