From Tim Lacy-Hulbert; SAMUEL died Jul 1778 aged 40. His wife BETTY dau of THOMAS and HANNAH GYDE died Feb 1775 aged 42
This means the two brother Samuel and John both married Gyde sisters.
also from Tim; Hulbert's" Phillip's History and Antiquities of Shrewsbury 1831 (2nd Ed) p.234 there is mentioned a relative Mr Samuel Horlick of Painswick who had a letter of solemn counsel addressed to him by Rev de Courcy, which was published.
Wm Powis (qv) of Wilmington Sq and C Horlick of Painswick were subscribers to the publication of the book, presumably because Samuel was mentioned. The REASON Samuel was mentioned was to do with his brother in law Thomas Wood.
Samuel married Betty Gyde, daughter of Thomas# Gyde and Hannah# Thomas. (Betty Gyde was christened on 17 Mar 1733 in Painswick, Glos and died in Feb 1775.)
