Found chr record on familysearch. Clearly shows parents as James and Mary - same as Jacob Septimus.
There is a Pedley Sunter, 46, living in Dacre cum Bewerley in 1851, shows as born in Appletreewick and is Lead Miner. All good. However is shown as living with widowed sister Sarah BELL (63, Appletreewick), and we have no record of a Sarah to James and Mary - in fact THIS Sarah Sunter was chr in PB, but her parents are George and Nancy.
Note; Jacob's lodger in '51 is John PEDLEY.
Can't find in '61.
Having said that ...
1871 Census; There is a Pedley Sunter (66, Greenhow Hill, Retired BUTCHER - note brother Robert is butcher) living as 'Great Uncle' to a William BELL (29, Greenhow Hill, Engine Fitter) in Bowling, Bradford. Hhhhmm. Wm Bell is not on the '51 census entry. Don't see how he could be brother to Sarah in '51 and yet GREAT Uncle to one on her children (?) 20 years later.
A Pedley Sunter, born ~1804, died in Pateley Bridge Q1 1873. - this confirmed by John Rogers research.
