"Henry VII not only embraced terms of amity (with James of Scotland) but in 1493, to bind this monarch still closer to him, proferred a marriage between him and "the most serene Princess Catherine, his cousin, dau of Eleanor, Countess of Ormnonde and Wiltshire, dau of Edmund Beaufort, his great uncle" but James and his council treated this proposition with contempt, as a marriage beneath his dignity, and probably it was made because she was the only lady of the Royal Blood of the Lancastrian branch, who was of a suitable age".

Catherine# married Henry# Percy KG, 5th Earl of Northumberland. (Henry# Percy KG, 5th Earl of Northumberland was born on 13 Jan 1477, died on 19 May 1527 and was buried in Beverley, East Riding.)
