We know that "Peter Horlick, great-grandfather of William Horlick, removed from Pains-wick to Ruardean and there James Horlick, the father, was born and reared. He married Priscilla Griffiths, also a native of Ruardean, and for many years he served as an official of his parish and Township. He was a saddler by trade and conducted business along that line for a considerable period"
So we have;
Peter from Painswick b1771 Cranham, son of Daniel and Hester Wiggal, possibly father of;
Peter 'Harlick' and Lettice Vaughan married 1 Mar 1807, Glos, certainly parents of ;
James (b~1810 in Ruardean according to 1851 census) & Priscilla; certainly parents of;
James (7 in 1851) etc.
MAYBE ! But not from Painswick, from Cranham!
Peter married Ann/Lettice Vaughan. (Ann/Lettice Vaughan was born in 1775 in Glos..)
