Highly speculative that he is the grandfather of 'our' Wm at the moment - need his will.
A John Wright chr in Stanwick in Apr 1675, son of William Wright and Susanna - could be him.
A John Wright married Elizabeth Sanders 30 Dec 1714 in Higham Ferrers - could be them but unlikely given YoB of first child.
In The Letters of Daniel Eaton to the Third Earl of Cardigan, 1725-1732 there is a paragraph that starts "Mr Wright of Stanwick (the person I told your Lordship of) is here. The person [he has] 25£. a year of in Stanwick is his cosen, and always told him that ..."
