NB Martha Lear was his second wife. First was Abigail Smith with whom he had 10 children - I haven't entered all of them yet.
Resided at 'King's Creek', York Co., Virigina, 'Carter's Creek, Gloucester Co., Virginia. Burgess of James City Council 1698. He was a Governor of the College of William & Mary in 1702. He was a member of council between 1702 and 1711 (but died in 1710?!?!) in Virigina. He left a will on 11 Oct 1710 which was proved 10 Feb 1711.

This ; http://www.virginians.com/redirect.htm?topics&14498 says that Lewis and Martha had 6 sons and 3 dau., but we only have 2 sons and 3 daughters and one unknown.
But http://members.tripod.com/~GrannyPeach/valandgrants.html says 2 sons and 3 dau.

Lewis# married Abigail Smith, daughter of Anthony Smith and Martha Bacon, in 1674 in Gloucester Co, Virginia. (Abigail Smith was born on 11 Mar 1656 and died on 12 Nov 1692 in York County, Virginia.)

Lewis# next married Martha# Lear, daughter of Col. John# Lear and Anna#, in 1890 in Date Guess To Get Marriages In Correct Order!. (Martha# Lear died on 4 Aug 1704.)
