London Gazette; 5 Feb 1919; 2nd Vol. Bn., Royal Sussex Begt.—Temp. Lt.Herbert Thomas Shaw is seconded. 12th Dec. 1918. IS Sussex, but he would be 54 by then, so perhaps not !

Herbert married Florence Hitchins, daughter of Tom Fortescue Hitchins and Mary Augusta Syms, Q2 1893 in Croyden, Surrey. (Florence Hitchins was born in 1874 in Norwood, Surrey.)
