"I believe that the John Cockings who was baptised 8 Nov 1796 in Irthlingborough, son of Charles and Sarah (nee Desborough) and married Elizabeth Rowe 13 May 1813 Irthlingborough was probably also recorded as Cockayne."

John married Elizabeth Rowe, daughter of Richard Rowe and Sarah Sumpter, on 13 May 1813 in Irthlingborough, Northants. (Elizabeth Rowe was born in 1792 and was christened on 2 Jul 1792 in Irthlingborough, Northants..)
