Catherine died a widow on 12 January 1929 at 4 Pulteney Mansions, 22 Pulteney Street Bath. She left an estate of just under £300 and Gwendoline was executor.
On the 1901 census she is a Hotel Proprietor and owns the George Hotel 47 Fore Street Trowbridge and Gwendoline is living with her widowed mother and other siblings. By 1911 she is running another hotel: Rossmore, Westbourne Road Trowbridge, which is where Gwen met James.

Catherine married Gabrial Williams. (Gabrial Williams was born in Sep 1834 and died on 24 Mar 1893.)
