Allerthope Parish Register; Peter Grant and Ann Laverake both otp were married with xxx May 3rd 1757.
There was a Peter Grant Chr 10 Sep 1759 Thornton by Pocklington, father Peter Grant, have assumed this is a brother to Thomas.
Possibly linked to the Grants researched by Ursula Randall. They originally came from Scotland, but then Scarbrough, York and Richmond. They owned land in POCKLINGTON and were EMINENT BUILDERS, JOINERS AND CARPENTERS - doing work on Fairfax House and, possibly, Aske Hall. However have been unable to make connection to Peter or Thomas .... yet!
