From N Yorks CRO;
1795; Wedding; 23 Apr 1795, John Hardacre and Jane Young, both otp. Witnesses were Samuel Hardacre and Thomas Wildman. Might be worth looking for Samuel on census, as presumably he is John's brother.
In Baines's Directory and Gazetteer Directory of 1822 there is a Samuel Hardacre who is Tailor and Draper.
1801; On Ann's baptism is Cotton Weaver of Long Preston.
1803; On Sarah's baptism is Weaver of Long Preston.
1805; On Thomas's baptism is Weaver of Long Preston.
1808; On Betty's baptism is Cotton Weaver of Long Preston.

1841 Census (age 70) living alone in Settle. Occupation; Weaver Cotton. Possibly by way form is marked he might be living in house of Thomas (30, Joiner) and Jane (30) Robinson, although there are also markings to indicate it's a separate dwelling.

1851 Census (age 78) living in house of his son-in-law in Upper Settle, Yorks with his daughter and grandchildren. Occupation given as Panflour (!?) formerly Weaver. Is a widower.

Death cert (from John Byrom); 18th Nov 1857, Settle. 88 years old, Cotton Weaver
Cause of Death; Old Age and Debility.
Informant; X The mark of John Moorby, of Settle, in attendance. Presumably his grandson.
BUT;
a.This age doesn't match the '51 census. I may have wrong person.
and
b.There is another John Hardacre dying in Settle Q3 of 1852, which might be him instead.
