Of Te Awanga, NZ and late of Drayton Manor, Hampshire (Drayton Manor sold by Portsmouth City Council in 1947. It was mainly demolished in 1957, presumably Secker was renting it.).

Served in 14th Hussars

1881 Census (age 3) is living with his parents Edward & Charlotte in Upton cum Chalvey, Bucks. Father is Water Works Engineer .... but presumably a fairly well to do one, as have 4 servants !

1911 Census; Living as son in law (age 33, married 2.5 years) at home of widowed mother in law at 20 Jameson Road, Bexhill with wife, 2 children and 3 servants. Occupation; Army Captain. PoB: Slough.

26 Feb 1912; is witness at the wedding of Arthur St John Wright and Muriel Mary Holder in Mhow, Calcutta. His wife being Arthur's cousin. Presumably therefore he met his wife from a friendship with Arthur ?

Wendy obtained will; third of estate to wife Evelyn Isabel Secker (nee Werner). The second third he gave to his children Edward John Richard Secker and Ina Lorna Elizabeth Glenny (nee Secker) and remaining third to grandchildren - not named.

Victor married Ina Lorna Margaret Salmon, daughter of William John Bush Salmon and Ina Gertrude Bateman, Q3 1907 in Kensington, London. (Ina Lorna Margaret Salmon was born Q2 1883 in Bath and died on 23 Dec 1936 in Te Awanga, New Zealand.)

Victor next married Evelyn Isabel Werner.
