1890 Census; Witness at the wedding of William Henry Kew and Elizabeth Moorby (her sister).

1891 Census (age 22) living at Cobb Castle, Settle with widowed father, sister and fathers grandson. Grandson is John Thomas Moorby (3 born in Settle) - not entirely sure a) which JTM this is or b) who his parents are. Occupation; Cotton Spinner. Name is Rose A. here.

Name eventually cleared up by Rosa Batcheler (nee Hargreaves); is Rose Anna.

From John B; 1911 Census Rose Ann Vernon nee Moorby living with husband and daughters at Cawlow Lane, Dove Hole near Burton, Derbyshire. Samuel Vernon was working as a limestone quarryman for the Rock Buston Lime Firm.

Rose married.

Rose next married Samuel Vernon in 1896 in Settle, N.Yorks. (Samuel Vernon was born in 1866 in Dove Hole, Derbyshire and died in 1937 in Settle, N.Yorks.)
