Possibly of Sheffield, Shopkeeper.
1871 census; possibly have got wrong person (see Fanny) but if correct is; Living aged 39 at Lead Mill Road, Sheffield with wife and niece Mary Jane Harper Caborn, age 11, born Hull. Occupation; Plater's Porter (presumably something to do with plating steel). But this person is Nathaniel, so possibly incorrect. If it is him then born in Notts.
1881 Census; living, aged 49, at 163 Leadmill Lane, Sheffield with husband and 'General Servant'. Occupation; Porter. Is still Nathaniel, born in Newark, Notts.
1891 Census; living, aged 59, at (Grocers Shop), 163 Leadmill Lane, Sheffield with wife and 'Servant Domestic'. Occupation; 'Silver Platers Porter'. Still Nataniel and Newark.
Nicholas married Fanny Caborn, daughter of Thomas Caborn and Jane Rutter. (Fanny Caborn was born in 1837 in Croft, Lincs and died in 1917.)
