However (familysearch) in 1881 a Robert Edward Triffitt (59) was Deputy Governor of Stillingfleet Prison, York - his father?

1901 Census (age 42); staying with James George-Powell in Bletchingley. Profession given as 'Assistant Superindent Revenue'. Was already married to James' wifes sister at this point, although she wasn't there (was she dead?), but another sister was - Mary Ann.
NB: Some confusion over Triffett or Triffitt, but from the 1901 census appears to be Triffett as no 'dot' which recorder has put over the other i's.
Robert married Jessie Anne Grant, daughter of Thomas# Grant J.P. and Mary Anne# Dax, in Sep 1893 in Pocklington, East Riding. (Jessie Anne Grant was born in 1869 in Pocklington, East Riding.)
