One of his god-parents was Rev.Keith Richard Rintoul, former curate at Stow On The Wold, and later at, coincidentally, Millington.

Michael married Jean Ruth# Blanchard, daughter of William Francis# Blanchard and Doris# Moorby, on 2 Apr 1966 in St Edmunds Church, Roundhay, Leeds. (Jean Ruth# Blanchard was born on 3 Aug 1944 in Leeds and was christened on 24 Sep 1944 in Mareham-On-The-Hill, Lincolnshire.)
