1861 Census; same person as below is indexed as Bent (and says that on form) and is living in Louth, occupation; Journeyman Corn Miller. Doesn't really sound like correct person. However has stepsons, so know that it's a second marriage.
1871 Census; there is a widower James Gant, b1803 in High Toynton living alone at West End Road, Wyberton, Lincs. Gives occupation as Cottager.
