1891 Census (age 6) is living with parents and siblings at St.Mary Islington Workhouse Infirmary, where father is supervising surgeon & GP.

1901 Census; (age 16); living with uncle Henry A Bryden (Author) and aunt Julia Bryden (nee Wright) in Eastbourne, Sussex.
According to Ann St John Wright's (curtailed) biog Kate and Olivia Bryden (qv) went to School together in Eastbourne.

1911: Inherited 2/5th of her father's estate, to be held in trust and her paid the income. Her brother got 1/5th each (but not forced to be held in trust!).

1911 Census; Living (age 26) with widowed mother and a servant at 12 Bedford Avenue, Bexhill. Occupation; Private Means.

1917; God-mother to her niece Ann St John Wright.

1921 Census; Living (age 36y11m) with Agnes and Ann at 12 Bedford Avenue, Bexhill. Single, born Islington, occupation 'House'.

1938; Long bill from solicitors to her re: Mr Christopher St John's Wright's Voluntary Settlement dated 21st Nov 1924 (ie the money from his late wife that he passed on to Ann) "in respect of the winding up of the trusts of the above settlement consequent upon Miss Ann St John Wright attaining the age of 21".

1940; Granted Probate over brother Christopher's will.

Have lots of information pertaining to the 'Cheltenham Services Club' during the Second World War, a lot of which mention her, so presumably she was living in that area during the war .... including details of a cricket match she played in ! Although 1946 from the CSC to Kate she is living at Overbury Hotel, Middlesex Rd, Bexhill.

1973 address 15A Sutherland Drive, Bexhill-on-Sea, Sussex.

Never married. Was a keen amateur painter.

Was a Trustee of the will of Ada St.John Wright. (along with Mr.George St John Rands). Have Sept 1973 letter from Thomas J.Eckford, Rands & Co. (Consultant; G St John Rands), Solicitors in Northampton regarding sales and reinvestment of British Electricity stock.

Originally I thought that she largely raised Anne St John Wright after death of Ann's mother and grandmother, but now know that Ann went to live with Cyril Griffiths after death of her grandmother, although was a frequent visitor to Bexhill after this time, and later visited Ann often in Leeds (and vice versa).

Lifetime companion was Dolly Astley.
