BASTARDY RECOGNIZANCE dated 24 Jan 1817. Mother: Elizabeth MARSHALL of Faldingworth singlewoman. Putative father: William SEATON the younger of Faldingworth Farmer's Son. William Seaton the elder of Faldingworth Farmer was his surety.
IGI: There is a Wm Seaton, son of Wm and Mary chr 21 Sep 1796 in Tealby, Lincs, but that about 8 miles from Faldingworth.
1851 Census; Living as head, aged 53 at Faldingworth, Lincs with wife and 5 children. Occupation; Farmer of 80 acres. Mother Mary living next door with the Stamps.
1861 Census; Living as head, aged 64 at Farm House, Faldingworth with wife and 3 children. Occupation; Farmer of 137 acres employing 3 lab. At top of the page there is a John Seaton (Ag Lab 40, Faldingworth, Ag Lab, Occupying 11 acres) and his wife Mary (53).
Lincolnshire Chronicle 15 Nov 1867; Lincoln Farmers Club ...... Mr W Seaton of Faldingworth; 3rd (someone else), so presumably he was 2nd.
Wife is widow on '71 census.
William married Mary. (Mary was born in 1801 in Killingholme, Lincs.)
