1841 Census (age 1) living at Church Row, St. Mary Islington East, Middlesex (London) with husband, mother Mary(35) and brother Henry. Think also 2 students with them. Presumably she was actually 7 (see 1851) and I got the date wrong !
1845 she is apparently one of the founding governors of Emanuel College (founded by her father), although only 10yrs old ?
1851 Census (age 16) living (with her sister Emily) as a boarder at Eddington House School, Herne, Kent.

1861 Census; Living as wife (age 26) at 9 Landsdown Cottages, Lower Road, (Finsbury) Islington with husband, 3 children and 2 servants.
According to Ann G-P research they had 4 sons and 6 dau.
From ancestry; Two burials being noted as being at the Church of England Cemetery at Singleton, NSW: William Downing BIDEN (Died: 3 June, 1876) and his wife: Mary Eliza BIDEN (Date unknown). and Singleton FHS published 6 vols of district cemetery transcriptions. William bur Whittingham, the name for one of main cemeteries for Singleton. In their "Singleton Pioneer Register" 1989 they list his spouse as Mary Eliza Biden (nee Bateman) CofE d. 31.3.1880 bur. Waverley. William reported to been surveyor with AA Coy."
