The YoB and PoB are of the only Frances Titheradge on the 1901 census, and she IS the sister of the popular actress Madge Titheradge.

However Oswald's wife COULD I suppose be someone different, but seems unlikely.

COULD she be the Frances A M Griffiths born circa 1881 who died in Ludlow in 1921?

1911 Cenus; Living (age 26) as a visitor at the home of Isabel Ann Brenchley (Widow, 70, Surrey) at 115 Camberwell Grove, Camberwell, London with her husband Oswald Powis Griffiths. Shown as Francis Mary Griffiths, 26, married 1 year, Melbourne, Aus. Also in the house are 2 servants and a Mary Brenchley (54, Brighton) step dau of Isabel.

1917; According to Ann's (curtailed) biog "I was christened at St.Peter's Church, Bexhill. Great Auntie Ina (qv) was at that time living in Bexhill - at the Little House in Jameson Road. So she and Dulce Watson (qv) attended the christening. My maternal grandmother, Mrs. Agnes Louisa Wright was there, and her daughter, Kate. My mother's brother, Cyril, was there and his wife, Gladys, and YANIE, his brother Oswald's wife, who was my Godmother (as was Auntie Kate). My father must have returned to Malaya on his own, probably because my mother and I would not be allowed to sail out during the war."

On Feb 19 1951 at a London Nursing Home Frances Mary (Yanie) Griffiths adored sister of Eve Cochrane, Madge Park & Nina Titheradge beloved friend of Eileen Hooton-Smith. Funeral at 11.30 am tomorrow from Oak House, Oxshott. Cremation at St John's Woking.

Frances married Oswald Powis Griffiths, son of Stephen Lewis# Griffiths and Katharine Isabel# Powis, Q2 1910 in Hampstead, London. (Oswald Powis Griffiths was born on 23 Jul 1886 in Fairthorn, Ryde, Isle of Wight and died q4 1961 in Bristol.)
