Barbara 'Bardie' St John Wright

Info from Wendy Henderson, who's mother said "while still very small Barbara read a book where the heroine was called Bardie and insisted upon being called by that name as she hated the name Barbara (the name my mother chose for my second name!). Obviously it wasn't a passing phase because she indeed remained Bardie! "

Born in Tenby, Holder family had links to that area.

Possibly/probably went to St Catherine's Primary School in Bexhill, along with siblings and cousin Ann St J W. Actor Patrick Cargill being there at same time.

Possibly went to Wadhurst College (same place as Ann St John Wright).

Possibly taught before WWII and then joined ATS.

Barbara married Randolph John (pref John) Blair O.B.E. on 30 Nov 1943. (Randolph John (pref John) Blair O.B.E. was born in 1912 in Austria and died in Feb 1989.)
