There is the transcript of the will of a John Underwood of Irthlingborough, 1653. Left money son John and daus Dorothy and Susan and Eliza and also 20s each to son Henry and William and dau Ann and Marie they having already rec'd their portion.

Irthlingborough MIs; C35 (Ledger stone in Pyel Chapel partly under the choir stalls) Coat of Arms. Here lyeth the body of JOHN UNDERWOOD Gent. Also **** HENRY UNDERWOOD and **N* of JOHN UNDERWOOD, Gent. D**** who departed this life this **** day of April 1726 aged (57?) years. And also the body of his one and (only?) heir dyed this 7th day of June in the 40th year of his age.
