What happened to him after that is unknown, until his migration to Emmanuel College and award of a B.M. (Bachelor of Medicine) in 1658. As a widower, aged 52 in January 1677 he was described as a ‘medicus’ of Nottingham, and licensed to marry a Mrs. Mary Bale. He was alive in 1697 when he was mentioned in the will of Samuel Brunsell’s widow Mary."
