1881 Census (age 13) living at Town End, Tideswell. House appears to be split in two. Mary is living in the Harrison's part - but her mother and brother as living in the other part. Occupation; General Servant (relation to head also is 'Servant').

A Mary Jane Kew married either a) Samuel Henry Howe or b) Francis Vernon in Chapel en Firth District, Derbys in Q3 1890. Other wife is Ann Wragg.

1891 Census; (age 23) is the married Mary J Howe living with her husband at the home of her (remarried) mother and step father at Green Knowl, Peak Forest, Derbys - especially as shows a born in Lincoln (originally thought was step fathers daughter Mary J - but ages and PoB's dont match).
