bullet  Notes:

In1841 there is only one Richard Kew born anywhere 1840+- 5 and that person is born 1839 and living in Reepham, Lincs. If it IS him then living with;
William ~30, Ag Lab, born in Lincs
Ann ~25, born in Lincs
George, 4, born in Lincs.
NB: William ties in with his sons name, but then it's not exactly a rare name !

From John B;
"Think I may have found Richard in 1841 and 1851 Census's in Reepham, Lincolnshire. Father William, an agricultural labourer and mother Ann.
In 1861 and 1871 Census William and Ann are living in Fiskerton, Lincolnshire which is the town where Richard's daughter Mary Jane was born in 1867.
Seems to add up."

In the 1861 census there are only 5 Richard Kew's of any age. 2 were either too old or young. This leaves;
1.b 1844 Bunkias Hill?, Lincs, working as apprentice (Wheelwright) in Market Rasen, Lincs.
2.b 1843 Clerkenwell, living with parents in Clerkenwell
3.b 1847 Newcastle, living with parents in Northumberland.

1 seems most likely. In '51 that Richard Kew was living with father (Charles - Tailor born in Chelmsford) and mother (Mary) in Thornton le Fen, Lincs (only about 4 miles from Mareham!). HOWEVER if search for all Richard Kew's in the '51 census it doesn't show the other 2 listed above - which shows what a dangerous road this is to travel !
