Got info from finding Francis' original baptism in the N.Yorks CRO and this led me to Thomas fathers name. Specificially it said; "Francis Stephenson, son of Thomas Moorby of Settle son of Robert Moorby of Rathmell, by Ann his wife, daughter of William Stephenson of Arkholme".
Dec 2006; Looked for a grave in Rathmell church, but couldn't find one. However there don't really seem to be ANY old graves from this period or earlier.
Bapt and death from Parish Register Transcripts by the Yorks Arch Society 1669-1769 supplied by Ian Thompson Moorby.
Death; Robert Moorby of Rathmell, age 51 - which means he must be the Robert bapt in 1725, rather than the other one bapt in 1714.
