Ann Hoddell

There is an Ann Hodell chr 2 Jun 1811 in Clodock, but parents James and Mary.

1841 Census ; Living, aged 30, at Gridal Farm, Clodock, Herefordshire with parents and 8 siblings and dau Ann, aged 3. Name looks like 'Brewer' but presum. she is the Ann Beavan (husband of Thomas) named in her fathers will.

1851 Census; Living, aged 40, at Treflanden(?), Longtown with Wm Prosser and Elizabeth (her sister). 'sister in law'. Shown as married. Occupation; Visitor. PoB is somewhere in Monmouth, but hard to read.

NB: There IS an Ann Beaven, married to a Thomas, in the 1851 census. But she born in Discoyd, Radnorshire. Is however living in Herefordshire (Aymestrey ). Theoretically this could be her, the sister in law Ann Brewer could be Wm Prossers brother's wife, but that wouldn't explain why she was living with the Hoddell's in '41, so fairly certain this is correct and the will transcription has got name wrong.

1861 English Census; No Ann Brewer. Few possibles as Beavan.



In 1871 English there is an Annie Beavon b~1837 in Herefordshire living as servant in Marylebone. Presum this is dau.?

Anne Beavan, 1839 Q4 Monmouth
Some more in Hay etc but Mary Ann etc.
