Notes:
Info originally from Bill Martin. Then found;
1881 Census; Jersey; Living as widow and head, aged 24, at La Guerande Faldouet, Hill Side, St Martin's parish, Jersey with mother, (Mary A Jeanes, 61), son, 2 visitors (both male Oxford undergrads) and a servant (who is oddly also an apprentice?!). Occupation; Income from land - Wright land or Jeanes land ?!?!
She married a second time in 1888 and had 3 children - one of them being Bill's paternal grandmother.
1891 Can't find, but only quick look in CI, need to look in England.
1901 Census; Living, aged 44, at Sotham(?) Road, Hornsey, Middx with 2nd husband and 4 children. Is described as 'Agnes E' here.
From Rhonda Lasker; My great, great grandfather, Isaac Jeanes born 1812 in Pulham, Dorset and died 1872 in Jersey, married Mary Ann Woodlock born 1820 in Dublin, Ireland. I have no date for the marriage but probably about 1840. Their first born a girl, was born in 1841. My great grandfather Isaac born 1847, died 1920 in Sydney, Australia. Francis followed born 1853, then Elizabeth Agnes, 1857. The youngest was Stephen. All the children were born at St. Martin, Jersey in the Channel Islands. Isaac their father was a master mariner. In the 1871 England census he was listed as the master of the "Mary and Elizabeth". His son Francis was listed as a crew member. His three sons all followed him to the sea but only Francis remained at sea. The youngest, Stephen, was to become a fireman, eventually to become chief fire officer at London Bridge. Isaac, my great grandfather was an assistant ships carpenter, a position that he held on the voyage to Australia when he and his family migrated here. They travelled out on the ship the "Cyphrenes" arriving in Sydney in August, 1879. My grandfather Samuel Perkins Jeanes was born four months after their arrival. Isaac and his wife, Lucy Basket, were to have another daughter, Elizabeth Agnes in 1885. Isaac & Lucy were married in London and before migrating to Australia they had three children, Lucy, George & James. I was surprised but very interested to find that my grandfather had apparently been named in honour of his father's brother-in-law. It appears that Isaac & Lucy and Elizabeth & Samuel apparently had a close relationship with each other.
I also saw on your web page that before his death Samuel Perkins Wright had commissioned the construction of a ketch which was named "The Standard". This also aroused my interest, as in an 1881 England census, Francis Jeanes, my great grandfather's brother was the master of a ship called the "Standard". I believe that this Standard is more than likely the same Standard that was built for Samuel Pirkins Wright.
Elizabeth married Samuel Pirkins Wright, son of John Perkins/Pirkins# Wright and Elizabeth Jane Vanderplank, in 1873. (Samuel Pirkins Wright was born Q3 1847 in Irthlingborough, Northants., christened on 12 Nov 1847 in Irthlingborough, Northants. and died on 1 Feb 1877 in Guernsey.)
Elizabeth next married Robert Sims Overton in 1888. (Robert Sims Overton was born in 1865 in Plumstead, London.)
