There was on www.freereg.org.uk a John Sumpter bapt 31 Jan 1723/24 in Higham Ferrers. Parents Edward and Juliana. This backed up by finding Ann (we already knew they were siblings) so definately the correct people - result.

Burial from Wendy.

Stamford Baron St Martin's is now S.Lincs but historically was Northants.

Juliana# married Edward# Sumpter, son of Unknown and Unknown, on 12 Jun 1723 in St Martin's, Stamford Baron, Northampton. (Edward# Sumpter died in 1756 and was buried on 31 Oct 1756 in Higham Ferrers, Northants.)
