Admitted pensioner at Trinity College, Cambridge 26 Mar 1695 aged 17; scholar 1697 ; B.A. 1698-99; M.A. 1702. Ordained deacon (Lincoln) 20 Sep 1702; priest 14 Mar 1702-3. Presented to Scruton by his elder brother Roger and instituted 8 Jan 1705/6. Concurrently Chaplain of Trinity 1703-6; Vicar of Kirkby Fleetham 1719-28; and Rector of Barningham 1728-38. Married Cordelia dau of Thomas Thwaits of Burrell. Buried at Scruton 19 Aug 1783."
