1841 Census (age 4) living in Enfield, Middx in house of an Ann Clark (80, Independent means), with assorted others. Possibly this is her grandmother.

1845 she is apparently one of the founding governors of Emanuel College (founded by her father), although only 8 yrs old ?

1851 Census (age 14) living (with her sister Mary) as a boarder at Eddington House School, Herne, Kent.

1861 Census (age 24) living at 32 Compton Terrace, Islington, London with father, step mother and siblings.

Marriage annoucement in The Monthly observer, and New Church Record; "On Friday, July 4th, 1862, by the Rev D.G. Goyder, at the church, Devonshire Street, Islington, the Rev. C.G. MACPHERSON, late of Trinidad, and now Minister of the New Church Society, Bedford Street North, Liverpool, and EMILY JANE ......"

1871 Census (age 34) widow, living as lodger at 58 Green Lane, St Werburgh Parish, Derby with her dau. Annuitant. mCpherson. NEED TO DOUBLE CHECK - this more likely WEST Derby, ie. Liverpool.

1891 Census (age 54) widow, living as head with dau at 3 Spring Bank Road, Silverdale, Lancs. Living on own means. It's back to mAcpherson here.

1901 Census there is a 63 yo Emily McPherson living in Kensington, but gives PoB as Liverpool. She is "Doing Needlework" on own a/c. But she may have died in Marylebone so this could be her.

Death in 1902 specifically says Emily Jane Macpherson and born in ~1837, so probably her, so where was she in 1901 ?

Emily married Rev. Charles Gordon MacPherson, son of Charles MacPherson and Unknown, on 4 Jul 1862 in New Church, Devonshire St, Islington, London. (Rev. Charles Gordon MacPherson was born in 1827 and died on 8 Apr 1866 in West Derby, Liverpool, Lancs.)
