bullet  Notes:

Baptism info and confirmation of parents from Ann-Marie Ell , bapt only shows Elizabeth, but was calling herself Elizabeth St John later on.

Not mentioned in the will of her father.

Got YoB and (crucially perhaps) PoB from ;http://www.mawer.clara.net/bellamynet/WC01/WC01_023.htm

This shows Phipps as being second marriage, but Pickering born before Elizabeth's first husband had died. Maybe she is step mother? Also Edward/Elizabeth wedding details on http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=towcester&id=I3472 show her as spinster, not widow. Also 'Phipps family of Bugbrooke...etc" says she married Rice secondly. However she was 70 in 1850 (the year given in the book) - think the 1840 given on the website is more likely.

Also ;
Edward PHIPPS of All Saints widr Elizabeth OUTLAW otp spin 1823 01-Jan Northampton St
So she was definately spinster. Also why was she otp as father lived and died in Irthlingborough ? Was she living with one of her sister? Why had all sisters moved to Northampton ??

1841 Census (age 42) living in a house in Albion Place, St Giles, Northampton along with her son Pickering and also Charlotte OUTLAW her sister. Also others in house.

1851 Census; (age 50) living at Lodge Farm, Hardingstone, Northants with 2nd husband, dau Mary Ann, 2nd husbands grandson (James Gillit?), and 2 servants.

1861 Census (age 61) living at Farm House, Hardingstone, Northants with husband, 2 step children and a servant.

1871 Census (age 71) living as widow and head at Collingtree (same place as son Pickering, presum on his estate) with servant. Occupation; Annuitant.

Found death record, YoB = ~1799 = match.

1881 Census; Can't find.

Elizabeth married Edward Phipps, son of Pickering Phipps and Ann, on 1 Jan 1823 in Northampton St Sepulchre. (Edward Phipps was born on 6 Apr 1801 in Towcester, Northants, died on 12 Feb 1829 in Northampton, Northants and was buried on 16 Feb 1829 in Northampton All Saints..)

Elizabeth next married James Rice on 27 Sep 1840. (James Rice was born in 1789 in Hardingstone, Northants. and died in 1863.)
