Francis Mabel Isabella Powis

Originally had down as Mabel from '91 census, but think proper name as shown (from 81 census).

1881 Census (age 14) her and sister Dora are staying with Aunt (Anne M.Haren?, Annuitant, 40, born in Lambeth) and 2 servants at Christ Church Parish, Folkestone, Kent. Occupation; Scholar. Haven't entered Aunt as don't know which side of the family she is from.

1891 Census - incorrectly indexed as Panis (age 24). Living in grandmothers house at 2 Mareboro(?) Road, Putney, London with parents, siblings and and 3 servants. Occupation "Living on own means"

1901 Cenus (called Mabel on here again) (age 35) visitor at house of her sister Dora in Fulham.

Got full name from details of her late fathers estate, of which she was executor. This was in 1923 and she was still not married.

No obvious record on free death index.

1947 Letter Cyril Griffiths - Ann G-P "Uncle Charlies' next was Mabel who has just died. She never married. She was very lame but I never knew what caused the lameness. In her youth she was pretty and when I saw her last time I was xxxxx? she was still good looking with a strong xxxx? of the patrician about her".
