MIGHT by him (or not); Liverpool Echo, 1898; "William Powis, son a retired Army officer, and Laura Mabel Bingham were sentenced at the London Sessions yasterday and four months' hard labour respectively for stealing furniture , belonging to the woman's husband. ..."
1901 Census; there is a William Powis, married with children, 37, who is Tobacco Agent living in Prittlewell, Essex. But says born in Bow, Middlesex
