Wedding annoucement found by Wendy; Manchester Times 27 Jan 1849 (under subheading STOCKPORT)
on 18th inst at Irthlingborough by Rev. J Haniford vicar Mr J Holbrook of Heath Field in this city to Mary second daughter of William Wright of the former place.

Northampton Mercury 20 Jan 1849; Married; On Thurs Jan 18th, at Irthlingborough, John, eldest son of John Holbrook Esq of Penley, in the county of Flint, to Mary Elizabeth, second dau of William Wright Esq of Irthlingborough.

1851 Census; Living, aged xx (hard to read), at 3 Heathfield, Moss Side, Manchester with wife and a servant. Occupation; Salesman in Manchester Warehouse. PoB also hard to read, but def. Salop.

May 1856; Is named in the will of Stephen Sumpter of Irthlingborough "HOLBROOK, John, husband of Mary Elizabeth".

1861 Census; cant find.

1871 Census; Living, as head, aged 55, at 4 Trafford Mount, Stretford, Manchester with wife, 3 children and 2 servants. Occupation; Smallwares (Merchant suit??). Son is apprentice similar. PoB here looks like Sampton, Shrops.? Ancestry says it's Hampton.

Presumably he's the John Holbrook who died in Barton Upon Irwell in Q1, 1877, YoB = 1816 = match.

(Mary Elizabeth Wright was born on 1 Mar 1823 in Pattishall, Northants, christened on 15 Mar 1823 in Pattishall, Northants and died on 14 Jan 1899 in Laurel Bank, Stretford, Manchester.)
