Possibly Christopher St J Wright snr is named after him, certainly the families seem to have been close as the picture shown is from Christopher jnr's photo album.
The patents etc seem odd, but then he was listed as a miller in the '51 census, and there appear (census and birth indexes) to be no other Christopher Rands around this time.
1841 Census;(indexed as Bands) living (aged 25) in St Sepulchre, Northampton with parents and siblings, Sarah Outlaw (50) and 2 females who look like they're probably servants. Occupation; Leather Seller(?) - same as his father.

Rec'd £500 from his father upon coming of age - about £33k in 2007 prices! Also rec'd £150 plus a 1/6th share in the rest of the estate in his fathers will.
Not sure about the various miller etc. patents seems very unlikely, this person appears to be from Peoria, Illinois. HOWEVER our CR IS listed as a miller in the 1851 census, so I've left them in on the off chance.
