Baptism info and confirmation of parents from Ann-Marie Ell, who also provided;
Eleanor Outlaw married George Rands in Wellingborough by Licence 18 Dec 1809

Irth Hist Soc; 1809 18th December marriage - lately at Wellingborough George Rands, eminent shoe manufacturer of Wellingborough to Miss Outlaw of that place, daughter of Mr Outlaw, farmer & coal merchant of Irthlingborough.

When I went to Northants CRO I realised that her entry is directly next to Wm Wright's baptism entry !!

Not mentioned in her father's will, although her husband is the executor and is described as 'son in law', presumably this means he thought they were well enough off already.

1841 Census; (indexed as Bands) living (aged 55) in St Sepulchre, Northampton with husband and children, Sarah Outlaw (50) and 2 females who look like they're probably servants.

Under her husbands will she gets all her husbands personal effects plus (in trust) the house and £5000 to be invested and her to recieve the income, providing she remains unmarried. Both house and the £5000 to be divided equally between the 6 surviving children on her death, or her re-marrying.

1851 Census (aged 65) widowed and head of house in Newland, Northampton St Sepulchre parish of Northampton. Living with 2 sons, daughter, 2 granddaughters (the Lamb sisters) and 2 servants (cook and housemaid). Has occupation given - hard to read - almost looks like Accountant, but presum is Annuitant.

1861 Census (age 75) living in No. 9 Newland, Northampton St Sepulchre, Northants. Living next door to her son George. There are visitors;
1.Sarah Outlaw, Visitor, Unmarried, born in Irthlingborough aged 74
2.Charlotte Outlaw, Visitor, Unmarried, born in Irthlingborough aged 73
3.Marian MARCH, Grandaughter, 17, born in Lynn, Norfolk.
NB; Charlotte died Q1 1871.

1871 Cenus (Age 85) Indexed under Reeds. Living on 'Interest on money' as head of household at No.36 Newland in Northampton St Sepulchre parish of Northampton. Also in house are Unmarried son Christopher, daughter Elizabeth Pain (Married and also living off 'interest on money'), 2 servants and 3 grandchildren (Lambs).

From Wendy; Northampton Mercury Sat 4th Jan 1873 "On Dec 24th 1872 at 39 Newland Miss (?) Eleanor Rands"

1881 ; dead by then.

More info from Ian Markie via RoosChat.com (he had list of graves in St Sepulchres and also checked the parish register for me);
Grave also mentions George and younger son Edward (who previously I had no record of), it also mentions a John xxxx Rands; he was buried 29th July 1841 aged 4 months - possibly he was also a son, although Eleanor was 56 by then - so not sure - so haven't entered John anywhere.
