Madeline Elizabeth Holbrook

  Notes:

Had name as Madeline until finding son Wm's chr which says she is Madelena Elizabeth, however that also had her husband middle name wrong, so I'll presume she is Madeline Elizabeth.

1861 Census (age 3) living Woking, Surrey with father, brother, aunt, cousin and 3 servants.

1871 Census; whole family seem to have vanished!

1881 Census; Living (age 23) in St.Paul's Parish, Hammersmith, London with her brother Thomas and his family. Unmarried.

A Madeline Elizabeth Holbrook married a William Pickering Morris in Shipton-on-Stour, Worcester on 14 Jan 1884.

1891 Census; found the '84 marriage couple. She born in Guildford, Surrey, so probably is same person (family were actually living in Sutton 1/2 way between Guildford and Woking in '61). Living in St. George, Gloucestershire. But census form corrupted, have emailed ancestry. Looks like have a son William and a daughter Mabel.

1901 Census (if is above person); Living (age 42) in Chewstoke, Somerset with her husband (retired) and 2 sons, a servant and two visitors Albert P WRIGHT (?!) (28, married) and Louise E Wright (25 married, presum wife of AP). Might not be Wright but looks like it is - he born in Bristol. And gives his occupation as ... manager perhaps? Looked for him in '91 and '81, but can't find, so possibly is not Wright.

A Madeline E Morris died in Chipping Sodbury, Glos, 1931 ; almost certainly her.

Madeline married William Pickering Morris on 14 Jan 1884 in Shipton On Stour, Worcs. (William Pickering Morris was born in 1859 in Whitchurch, Shropshire.)
